DUBI is a marketplace for buying and selling cars in Lebanon, operated by Dubi AI S.A.L. (commercial register 2076829), Roum Patriarchate Project, Block G, Ground Floor, El Zaraabieh, Cornet Chehwan, Mount Lebanon, Lebanon. This policy says what we collect when you use the DUBI app and our websites, why, who sees it and what you can ask of us.
01 What we collect
We collect only what the service needs:
- Your WhatsApp phone number — how you sign in and the identifier of your account — and the display name and avatar you choose.
- The listings you create: the car's details, price and location, and the photos you add.
- What you save: favourites, saved searches and the notifications you turn on.
- The messages you exchange with DUBI on WhatsApp, including the cars you ask about.
- Technical records needed to run and protect the service: the device and app version, sign-in requests, server logs of website visits, and error reports that carry no personal content.
02 Why we use it
- To run the marketplace and your account: show your listings to buyers and let them contact you on WhatsApp.
- To sign you in: a one-time code is sent to your WhatsApp number each time.
- To send the notifications you opted into, such as a saved search finding a new car.
- To keep DUBI safe: limits on sign-in attempts, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis.
- To improve DUBI, using aggregate figures that identify nobody.
We use no third-party advertising or tracking kits. If we add usage analytics to improve DUBI, this policy will say so first.
03 Your number is public on your listings
DUBI connects buyers and sellers directly on WhatsApp. When you publish a listing, your display name and your WhatsApp number are visible to anyone who views it — that is how buyers reach you. Remove the listing and it stops being shown.
04 Sign-in with WhatsApp
You sign in with a six-digit code sent to your WhatsApp number in a WhatsApp message. DUBI never sees your WhatsApp password and does not read your other conversations. We store no password: your number and the code are the whole sign-in.
05 Photos and media
Photos you add to a listing are prepared on your device, then stored and delivered from our content network. The photos of a published listing are public, as the listing is. The original file is kept for fourteen days after upload; after that only the sizes the app shows remain.
06 Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Buyers and sellers, when you contact them or they contact you about a listing — your display name and your WhatsApp number.
- The trusted hosting, delivery and messaging providers that run DUBI for us — hosting and database, network and photo delivery, notifications and sign-in messages — only to provide the service and under their own data-protection terms.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers process data outside Lebanon, in the European Union and the United States.
07 How long we keep it
Your account and listings stay until you remove them or delete your account. A removed listing is hidden from the service at once; we keep internal records only as long as fraud prevention and our legal obligations require. Sign-in and security records are kept only as long as protecting the service requires. Conversations with DUBI on WhatsApp are kept for up to 90 days for continuity of service.
08 Deleting your account and your rights
You can delete your account in the app: Menu → Security & devices → Delete account. Your devices are signed out, your listings and content are removed from the service, and the account is closed. Limited records are kept where the law or fraud prevention requires, and anonymised where possible.
You can also see and change your profile in the app, and you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data by email: write to dev@dubiai.app with the subject "Data request" and your WhatsApp number. We answer within 48 hours.
09 Security
We protect your data with encrypted connections, access limited to the people who need it and sign-in without passwords. No service is perfectly secure: tell us at dev@dubiai.app if you believe your account was misused.
10 Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the date above says when, and the current text is always at this address.
